Housecall Providers Board Member Victoria Blachly, JD has recently been appointed to the Governor’s Commission on Senior Services (GCSS). The commission is made up of volunteers appointed by the governor and two legislators, one from the Oregon House and one from the Senate and promotes responsible statewide advocacy for elderly persons.

GCSS mission is dedicated to enhancing and protecting the quality of life for all older Oregonians. Through cooperation with other organizations and advocacy, GCSS works to ensure that seniors have access to services that provide choice, independence and dignity.

“I’m excited to become involved with the GCSS and further my work in protecting Oregon’s elderly or vulnerable adults.” Blachly stated.

The commission studies programs and budgets of all state agencies that affect elderly persons and people with disabilities and recommends the development of a comprehensive plan for delivery of services to elderly persons.
