The 2024 inaugural Toss for a Cause event is the first community-wide event that Housecall Providers has hosted since 2018.
We hope you will consider joining us at Sellwood Park on June 1st from noon–4 p.m. for our event, Toss for a Cause, a benefit to promote awareness of local nonprofits that offer critical support and services to our community’s elders, adults with disabilities and those facing serious illness.
Come cheer as more than 20 of our community nonprofits compete in a cornhole tournament for the inaugural title of Portland Toss for a Cause Champion 2024. The day will feature music and a wide variety of entertainment as well as two delicious food carts and a beer garden. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore “Nonprofit Row” where they can learn about the missions of each organization competing and find out about ways to get involved.
The event will include more than 75 individual representatives from over 20 local nonprofit organizations that serve elders, adults with disabilities and those facing serious illness. Whether attendees seek educational insights or simply want to enjoy a delightful day at the park surrounded by friends, this event promises something for everyone.
This is a great opportunity for you to not only support Housecall Providers, but our entire community while spending a beautiful, fun-filled day in the park. Volunteers are needed to staff information booths, supervise various activities, assist with tournament play, keep score, and help with, set-up and take down.
If you are available to help any time between 8am and 6pm on Saturday, June 1, or would like more info, contact Todd at volunteers@housecallproviders.org. Friends and adult family are also welcome to volunteer.
Hope to see you there!
