Housecall Providers received a three-year grant from the M.J. Murdock Charitable Trust, www.murdock-trust.org to support the hiring of a full-time development director. The announcement was made in late November and the amount of the grant will allow Housecall Providers to offer a competitive salary and compensation package to qualified candidates. The ideal candidate will have seven years of progressive fundraising experience, including a successful track record with major and planned giving, annual appeals, corporate sponsorships, special events, direct response, endowments and capital campaigns.
Fundraising has become a top priority as the demand for Housecall Providers services has continued to grow exponentially.
“We’re expanding so rapidly that reimbursements for services and the small amount of fundraising we’ve been able to do no longer support our growth,” said Executive Director Terri Hobbs. “We’ve never had a fulltime development director and now, thanks to Murdock Charitable Trust, we are in a position to add the right person to our team.” The ideal candidate doesn’t have to come from a healthcare background to help take our team to the next level,” Hobbs said. “But the right person will definitely need to be passionate about serving a vastly under-served and very needy patient population.”
