Housecall Providers is partnering with We Honor Veterans, a program of the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO) in collaboration with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to bring additional benefits to our patients who served and ensure that each patient has access to the full range of veterans services available.
In partnership with the National Partnership for Healthcare and Hospice Innovation (NPHI), we have developed the resource guide linked below to help our patients and caregivers locate and navigate the resources available for veterans in the tri-county Portland metro region. In addition, we have included many of the resources in a searchable database here on our website.
If you or a loved one served and are looking for veteran specific resources, you can also ask your Housecall Providers care team member to help you find what you need.
Our hospice team is seeking veterans who want to volunteer to spend time with our hospice patients who have served. Veterans in hospice often find themselves coping with emotions and memories that can leave them feeling isolated and struggling alone with their feelings and no one understands this better than a fellow serviceperson.
Volunteering with Housecall Providers Hospice not only offers you the chance to give back to your community it also provides veterans going through a very difficult time with someone who has lived a shared experience. If this sounds like something you might be interested in learning more about, please contact our volunteer coordinator Todd Lawrence at tlawrence@housecallproviders.org or call at 971-202-5515. To find out more about volunteering at Housecall Providers, visit our volunteer page. Please also share this with any veterans you may know who might be interested in an opportunity like this. Thank you for the support!
